Highlights: Take an incredible journey to the great state of Kentucky and discover Thoroughbred horses, fields of bluegrass, Bourbon and many other wonders! On our way we will stop at the Corning Glass Factory and visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. In Louisville, begin your discovery with the Kentucky Museum, The ‘Louisville Slugger’ bat museum, wine tasting, the Muhammad Ali Center, a dinner Cruise and a full day at Churchill Downs – home to the Kentucky Derby! Enjoy lunch, ‘horse-talk’ don hats and take in the thrill of the races at the most famous track in the world. Take a cross-country trip through majestic and enticing scenery and visit Abe Lincoln’s boyhood home and ante-bellum plantations. In Lexington (Horse Capital of the World) enjoy historic tours including the home of Mary Todd Lincoln, visit a Thoroughbred Horse Farm and delight in a BBQ lunch, horse-drawn rides, equestrian demonstrations and a visit and tasting at a Bourbon Distillery that all exude southern charm in ‘My Old Kentucky Home’. On our way home, visits include historic Charleston, West Virginia and a drive along the Shenandoah Skyline Drive.
